WHO WE ARE:
Exchange Rotary is one of more than 34,000 Rotary Clubs around the world dedicated to making a positive change in our local and global community. We believe education is a basic right of every person, here and abroad, and will be focusing our efforts to support that belief through hands-on service and grant projects.

WHEN WE MEET:
Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at Dunlap Codding on Film Row from noon to 1 pm and learn more about our group. What you eat for lunch is up to you! You can bring your own, or pick something up. Every Wednesday, DC on Film Row hosts a different food truck where you can get lunch as well!

When attending our meetings, please enter through the courtyard along Sheridan Ave. Please park along the street, not in Dunlap Codding's parking lot intended for their employees and clients.

WHAT IT TAKES:
If you think you would like to join our efforts to improve our community, there are a few more steps to make that happen:
  • Attend at least 3 Exchange Rotary Meetings. It's important that you get to know us better and make sure we're the right fit for you and we want to get to know you more also!
  • Attend a "Happy Hour" event OR participate in one service project with the club. Fellowship and service are core concepts for our group and we hope you agree!
  • Have a current Exchange Rotarian agree to be your sponsor and nominate you for membership. We'll get the paperwork done and you're on way!

HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR MEMBERSHIP:
Once you've joined our ranks, there are a few things you'll need to do to maintain your membership status with the club.
  • We have bi-monthly meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. While we hope to see you every week, Rotary guidelines mandate that you attend at least 50% of the meetings in a 6 month period, 30% of which have to be at our club. What that means is if you aren't able to attend Exchange Rotary one Wednesday, make-up at another club in the metro - or around the world! If you find that your schedule is becoming complicated, talk to the board and we'll see if we can work around it.
  • Be involved! In addition to regular meetings, we also have service projects and committees that work behind the scenes to keep our club running. We'd love for you to join one of our committees and get involved in as many service projects as possible. We want you to learn more about how we work and contribute ideas to make us even better.
  • Pay quarterly dues. Your first invoice will include a $35 new member fee for administrative costs but after that, dues are only $90 per quarter and you can pay them online, in person through Square, or send in a check. We want to make it as easy as possible for you.

QUESTIONS?
If you still have any questions, our membership committee is here to help. Please email our Membership Chair, Alain Pumphrey and she'll get back to you: alain.pumphrey@gmail.com.
